On the evening of 4 November 2025, a major fire broke out at the Tuzla retirement home (Bosnian: Dom penzionera Tuzla) in the city of Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina, killing at least 17 people and injuring more than 30 others. The incident has been described as one of the deadliest peacetime tragedies in the country.
