Broek in Waterland is a village in the province of North Holland, Netherlands, with a population of about 2,745 inhabitants as of 2021. It is a part of the municipality of Waterland, and is situated about 8 km (5 miles) south of Purmerend and 8 km (5 miles) northeast of Amsterdam. In the 17th and 18th century, the village was a popular residence for merchants and seafarers from Amsterdam.
